Horse Fortunes in the Year of the Rat

The Rat year can be a busy and lively one and Horses may be troubled by its volatility. Progress will be difficult, and while it may not always suit Horses to do so, there will be times when it could be best for them to keep a low profile and wait for situations to clarify and improve. In Rat years, they need to be watchful and patient.

At work, the Rat year can be challenging. Many Horses will be contending with a heavy workload as well as dealing with complex issues. Sometimes delays, bureaucratic problems or the attitude of another person could also make situations difficult. Being conscientious, Horses will often feel frustrated. However, while the year will bring its difficulties, it is at such times that Horses can demonstrate and develop their strengths. By concentrating on the tasks that need to be done and avoiding distractions, as well as adapting as required, they can still achieve some creditable results. As has often been found, problems can be opportunities in disguise, and the Rat year will give Horses the chance to gain invaluable experience as well as highlight their potential. For some, the seeds of later success can now be sown.

Rather than embark on change, many Horses will remain with their present employer and in areas which draw on their expertise. However, for those intent on change or seeking work, the year can again be challenging. Opportunities may be limited and some Horses will be frustrated by the way certain of their applications are processed and their skills ignored. However, Horses are tenacious and by persisting and putting in that extra effort, many will eventually secure an opening this year, and often one they can build on. Effort will be required, but achievements this year can have an important bearing on future prospects.

In money matters, Horses again need to be careful and be wary of haste or rush. More expensive plans and purchases need to be thought through and the terms carefully considered. Should Horses have any concerns, it is important they get these addressed before proceeding. Similarly, they need to be thorough when dealing with important paperwork and ensure that insurance policies are kept up to date and are sufficient for their purposes. Lapses could be to their disadvantage this year and the slow workings of bureaucracy could be troubling. At times, the Rat year can be exasperating!

In view of the pressures of the year, it is important that Horses give themselves an occasional respite. Some ‘me time’ can do them a lot of good. Not only could some of their pursuits give them the chance of additional exercise, but some could have a social element as well. Any Horses who have let their interests lapse should look to address this, perhaps by giving themselves a project or personal goal for the year.
